548 Marjan LLC ("548 Marjan," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at 548marjan.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to inquiries you submit to us; it does not cover the textbook hosted at book.548marjan.com, which is published separately.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, work email, company, role, estimated annual ad spend (a range), your message, your timeline, and — if you choose to share it — how you heard about us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our infrastructure and analytics automatically receive limited technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites or build an advertising profile of you.
Anti-spam verification. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from bots. To do this, Cloudflare may receive your IP address and interaction signals. We also store the IP address associated with an inquiry submission for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Website visitor identification. We may use a third-party service to identify the company or organization associated with a visitor's IP address, so we can understand which businesses are interested in our services. This is company-level information derived from your IP address; we do not use it to identify you personally by name.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about our services;
- operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
- prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; and
- keep records of inquiries for our legitimate business purposes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to provide the Site and respond to you:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, bot protection (Turnstile), privacy-focused analytics, and storage of inquiry records.
- Resend — sending transactional emails (our reply notification and your confirmation email).
- A visitor-identification provider — company-level identification as described above, where enabled.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).
Email communications
If you submit an inquiry, we will email you in response. We send transactional messages (such as a confirmation and our reply); we are not adding you to a marketing list. If we ever send marketing email, it will include an unsubscribe link, consistent with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records, after which we delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your choices and rights").
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including reputable infrastructure providers and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may contact us at james@548marjan.com to access, correct, or delete the personal information you submitted, or to ask questions about this policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. For example, California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access or deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out of those activities is necessary. To exercise any right, email us at the address above; we will verify your request before acting on it.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
We operate in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed here.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
